good to know, thanks.
i thought every 3d package works this way.i definitely prefer the maya way.

AE was the first program with 3d capabilities i used. because of this behaviour i thought im to dumb to understand and to orientate well in 3d space…i was wrong.
fortunately maya lets you choose what kind of axis you want to edit (local or world).we need a fix or workaround for this.

normally 50% opaque + 50% opaque gets 75% opaque.
alpha add fixes this to 100%.good luck,

use the numbers effect. it supports time display.

there are many 3gp encoders out there, but i dont trust most of them.
the new sorenson squeeze suite 4.5 supports 3gp.
my first choice for doing that.

nobody would do stop motion if the action that is shown in the movie could be done simply by filming it with a videocamera. f.e. puppet animation, no way to record it in realtime.
every other thing that you can record in realtime will look like its perfectly animated.
one thing you can do is lowering your framerate. set the comp to the framerate of your choice. PAL people normally animate with 12,5 fps. dont know how they go in the NTSC world.
what do you want to show in your movie that should look like stop motion in the end?
