Do you think that some Fusion features will appear in Resolve? Or will there simply be a string interaction link estabished between the two?

I thought there might be a really easy way by now in Resolve, seeing how the App is pushing so much towards online finishing and mastering.

It helps me to remind myself of what is possible these days and that never seizes to amaze me.
What’s wrong with with a high paid crew shooting a spot for an even higher end car, mounting a smartphone on an expensive gimbal? What’s wrong with it not looking like an A-class B/W movie?
It’s just playing around, experimenting, forward motion, for what ever reason, budgetary, creative, it doesn’t matter.

I have done both, repaired, removed, created, removed… again, a complete, clean Mavericks install from scratch should do it, you would think?
I am not having any compressor issues on my MacbookPro at all.
When I start compressor on my MacPro I will see the logo and the both displays will flicker black in the bottom third of the screen for a split second. After that either Compressor will remain at the splash screen or the interface will come up, but all distorted…

I am having the same, serious issues.
I have troubleshot the whole system up and down. I went as far as doing a complete disk whipe and starting with a clean Mavericks install. After that I did nothing but download compressor 4.1 from the App store and sure enough the whole system freezes up when I launch Compressor.
I am running Mavericks 10.9.1 on a 2009 Quad Core MacPro with32GB RAM. Everything is running great, even FCPX 10.1 is running better than the previous versions.
I seems like this is something only Apple can fix….?

I had the exact same issue. Resolve 10 crashed or showed lots of gaps with the FCPX XML, which contained both multi cam, single cam and compound clips.
As I had no time to play around, I rebuilt the entire 45 Minute Timeline using the original r3d single cam clips. I took it to RCX to create trimmed versions of the r3d and the went to Resolve.
I really wish the FCPX had a function where you could sort of decompose or convert a multi cam, compound clip project timeline to show show all the original cam media, as well as the original audio.
On a side note, I just took the very same project to LogicX for finishing and really had to laugh out loud, looking at the result. I was nothing short of a joke. About 150 individual audio tracks, all over the place, partially showing audio, that wasn’t even in the timeline.
I used XproAudio Convert to create an AAF and that worked very well, not perfect, but very well. But it was the first time in a while where I really felt like using non-pro software – going from one Apple Pro App to another with such devastating results… I really love editing with FCPX magnetic timeline. It has freed creative methods and ways of approaching projects immensely and I would never want to go back to anything else… but I spend enormous amounts of time going from my locked offline edits to the various finishing tools.

I would second the call for that feature. It would be very handy on many occasions, especially when you need to quickly rough it on a first pass. I have never used the auto color feature but an auto white balance feature would make me very happy at times.
