Perfect – thankyou!
Just one more question – is there any way of adding an arrowhead to this path so it follows the animation? (similar to adding arrowheads to a stroke in illustrator?)
Any help appreciated!

Hmmm – thanks for the suggestions – not quite what I am after …
Ideally I am looking for a stroke effect with the features of 3D stroke (start/end/offset etc) – which will remain sharp if I scale it up.
Any ideas?

(just tried this and AFX will not allow you to save the front view preview, needs to be the active camera)

How about previewing this at the highest res and then saving the preview?
