OK, so I converted the clip again to ProRes this time taking Rafael’s advice using MPGStreamclip. That worked. I don’t know why, but it worked. At least I can now pass the converted clip on to my client. Thanks to all for all the help and attention!

I have not tried the conversion with MPGDStreamclip. Would that make a difference?

Yes, I used QT to make the ProRes version and that didn’t work.

So, once I changed the rendering codec to match the capture codec I re-rendered transitions and title. That did seem to do the trick. This is something I have run into on occasion and never realized the cause. Thanks to all here for your suggestions.
