Yes, I have flat boxes in them that grow in scale. But I may have found a solution. I have a TP test scene set up with a TP Move on Spline that seems to keep the formation. I need to do a bit more testing to see if it holds up.

Thanks Brian. Yes, so this emitter would be attached to a traveling object which in theory could move in any direction. The particles are meant to represent a beam, like that of sonar being swept along. In the past I’ve had to use objects to represent these beams and I’m wondering if I’ll have to stick to that method.

Well, I sat down to do more troubleshooting and the first thing I did was uninstall the ICU framework and the LTFS software. Then I reinstalled them. Then I put in the mount command in and low and behold, it mounted the tape – which I formatted back in the beginning. So, I don’t know what made the difference but I’m doing some further tests and it seems to be working.

Tim, thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try looking for an older version of LTFS to start with. If no luck there I’ll look into the firmware.

So I trashed my prefs and I replaced the Easy setups folder with one from my other machine although they were identical. The XDCAM 720p settings still didn’t show up in the Easy Setups pull down . However, if I choose custom setup I can get the 720p settings but they’re not grouped with the other XDCAM settings. I don’t know what’s going on there. I’m hoping to get a new version of FCP soon so maybe that installation will rectify this issue.

If I try and do that I don’t have the XDCAM EX 720p option. Only the XDCAM 1080 sizes appear.
