Thanks for the info. We are seriously looking at the Letus.
If you’ll indulge me, I have a couple of more questions.
The idea of the adapter is to take an existing 35mm film/SLR camera lens and “put it” on the front of the HVX using the adapter, right?
I’m fairly ignorant of this, so I’m wondering if anyone has a good primer on the kinds of lense that one might use?
Any advice (and links) would be GREATLY appreciated!

Are ure sure your mic/cable are working?
If so, check the front of the camera to insure the mic/line switch is set to Mic and that your audio level knob is not in the complete counter-clockwise position.

Thanks all,
I watched the tutorial regarding Time Mapping and this was the answer to my problem!
Cheers and thanks all for your consideration and offerings!

Thanks much!
My challenge is when I do as you suggest, my whole original clip turns into a freeze frame. I want the first and last frames of the clip to freeze that I can extend to beginning and end of the comp while keeping the whole original video clip at it’s native speed.
Is the whole clip supposed to freeze?

Thanks, but I’m all green in MCA with the resolution so that’s not it.

It sounds as though you may have accidently stopped the recording yourself. Do you have the camera setup so the tally light is on to the point where you can see it from your second camera position? If that was on, and you still had a problem, I would be more concerned.
If you don’t that tally on, I would turn it on. I would also make sure you camera is setup so a remote can not be used with it. Both settings are in the manual if you need further instruction.

Do you use a remote control for your cameras?

I’m not aware of a specific adaptor, but Noah says there may be one so I would invest time in trying to track it down as A/B products are very good.
Having said that, you may want to be very careful about what kind of charger you get. A/B products are expensive because they work and they last. The chargers are fairly sophisticated (as chargers go) and are designed to interpret the battery’s condition and charge accordingly.
Personally, I’d be hesitant to do as you are suggesting with a non-A/B charger.

The only “remorse” you will have is not having purchased it sooner.

The DVX is good camera in “low light” situations. I’ve even found the use of 6 db gain to be acceptable in some situations.
Also, the 24p will look good without any additional “treatment”.
I think you’ll be pleased with the content this camera puts out.
