October 18, 2015 at 4:34 pm in reply to: Training tutorials or videos for Panasonic AV-HS410 video switcher.I am doing a 3 screen corporate event this week where all the screens have a different graphic source on them, but when we play a video, it needs to be on all the screens at once. My goal is to take a snapshot of the switcher outputs in one config, with aux 1, aux 2 and aux 3 each playing back individual computer sources, in this case Apple keynote. Then if I could change these outputs to all playback a video from a 4th computer using Pro Presenter with one button or recalling the memory, instead of assigning each aux out to the new source one at a time, it would be much more seamless. Then I would need to toggle back to the other individual aux out configuration 4 times during the event. I have all the cards to get everything into the switcher, but in the manual it seems to only let you save events and pip settings, but says nothing about the assignable aux outputs. Hope this makes sense

I just found your thread and I am also frustrated at the manual for the 410, I am trying to save a snapshot of the switcher with all the aux outs set to individual computer sources, then with a recall I would like to toggle to all aux outs playing the same computer input and then back again. Have you found a way to do anything close to that? Thanks Tim

it never powers up, takes 10-12 times pressing the on button for the AJA light to come on

serial# 110724 & 104145 both have software v1.11_531 transcend 16 gig work great, 32 gig transcend can’t format, although Mike could on his EX-3, I could then use but can’t re-format

also make sure your FCP playback settings are at full quality, I’ve seen problems with playback set lower during transitions

Questions:
1. Is this switcher capable of out-putting an SD NTSC signal? YES IF THEY HAVE THE DOWNCONVERT BOARD IN IT WHICH IS NEWIf not would an AJA FS1 (or similar) be appropriate in this situation to down-convert the output?
2. The Panasonic sight says the switcher supports image files with alpha channel (PNG, Tiff). Does this mean I would be able to create my Titles and other character and graphic work in Photoshop/Illustrator? I would like to initially save on the cost of Character Generator (Is this a mistake?). YOU ARE CORRECT HERE, STILLS CAN BE CALLED UP FROM AN SD CARD
3. Each show segment will have at least one pre-made package-edit played. Which means we would ideally like to be playing these videos from a computer. The Switcher can have a DVI input but it seems to me that this would just be showing the current screen of the computer? Would a Kona (or similar) output card be the connection from CPU to switcher (since using the KonaTV application will send the playing video through its outputs)? WE USE PRO PRESENTER FOR THE MAC $399 TO PLAY BACK FULL HD QUICKTIMES VIA DVI THAT WOULD PLAY RIGHT INTO THAT SWITCHER
4. We would zap the signal out through a microwave. Anybody know what type of connection is typically used for the NTSC signal to get into the microwave? NA
5. Excluding lights, mics, and direct to disc recording what other critical things am I leaving out?

not sure if this too late, but we use the same cameras with the Panasonic AV HS400 switcher which will give you HD-SDI in and out, great signal path and multiviewer built in which will show you all your cameras, preview and program on one SDI monitor

you should be able to select the incomplete clip, then hit select all in the lower right corner, and it will import the clip in several chunks
