  • And the Lightbox area is very thin, with no way to expand it? And there is some random text and a folder that is visible in a little divider line next to the Lightbox (see attached image). Is this just me? or is it like this for everyone with a second monitor?

  • Wow. Workspace customization should definitely be on Blackmagic’s to do list. This is kinda crazy.

  • Thanks! That helped a lot. But on the Color Page, is there a way to move my preview monitor to my second monitor? As of now, unless I’m willing to get rid of my clips and timeline windows my preview window is barely larger than a thumbnail. Aside from getting a third monitor dedicated to a video preview, is there any way to move any of the stuff on my left monitor to my right monitor to make better use of my workspace? I’ve attached an image of my current two monitor workspace.

Thanks for the response, but I guess the answer to all of my questions is “no you can’t do that in DaVinci”?

  • Do you have in/out points set on your timeline. Try clicking ALT+X to remove your in/out points on the timeline before pasting. It may just be pasting at the currently selected out point …which is a silly behavior in my opinion.

  • Thanks all! I ended up buying an RTX 4070 and Davinci is now working like a dream.

To answer the questions, I’m using a Dell Precision 7820 Tower running Windows 10Pro 64bit with Intel Xeon Gold 5220R CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2195Mhz, 24 Cores, 48 Logical Procs, 64GB ram.

I love the Neat Video noise reduction plugin. However if the footage is captured too dark, at a certain point, detail just isn’t there to work with. You should definitely be working with the original footage out of the camera and hopefully you’ll find more detail preserved there. I’ve heard good things about Topaz’s upres’ing and I wonder if there are any new AI tools available yet to create detail where it was lost. good luck!

  • YES!! thank you Roman! That did it.

  • your link is broken, but if it’s the same post I found before, it says to do it exactly as I say ..but I can’t do what it says because those options are greyed out for me. ..I think because I don’t have a DVD burner connected to this computer.

  • Thanks for the response, but I think you may have misunderstood my issue. I’m trying to create an ISO file with DVD Architect. I don’t have a dvd burner. I always used to make ISO’s with DVD Architect, but now that I don’t have a burner, that screen seems to be grayed out.
