I have used the Text+ element to write a phrase and now I want to change the size, color, and font of only one of the words in the phrase. Is there a way to do this without having to create a separate text element for that word? I thought I remember figuring this out before but now don’t remember how.

For anyone with the same issue, what I did to resolve it was to re-create the text event using the “Text+” (Custom Title) rather than the “Text” (Basic Title). Seems like a bug in Davinci or something. For any Davinci folks wanting to test this, the font I used was “Bernadette” which I probably downloaded from DaFont.com.

I’m fairly new to Davinci so this could be basic. Some text fonts appear to be cropped off on some of their edges and even after shrinking the text size, disabling cropping, resetting the title parameters, etc, I cannot get rid of the cropping. I’m doing a multicam edit and to check sync between cameras, I want to be able to hear audio from one camera while watching another to verify good sync between cameras, but whenever I mute or solo an audio track, the associated video track also mutes or solo’s. Not sure if this is more or less what you were saying Riccardo, but in search for the preference you mentioned, I went to Project Settings/Image Scaling/ and changed Resize filter to “Bilinear” and checked the box to “Override output scaling”, and I was able to render a clean output.

Do you have in/out points set on your timeline. Try clicking ALT+X to remove your in/out points on the timeline before pasting. It may just be pasting at the currently selected out point …which is a silly behavior in my opinion.

Hi John. Expand the size of the audio track in the trimmer by positioning your cursor on the border between the audio track and the video, then click/dragging it up and see if that fixes it. When the audio track is too small in the trimmer, zooming doesn’t work on it.

I think if you’re using Slog 3, you’ll want to expose a little higher and use a lut that pulls things down as opposed to pulling them up. Slog 3 I believe is more for preserving details in the darks, whereas Slog 2 is more about preserving details in the brights.

Is there any way to shoot with a log profile on the sony FX6 without using Cine EI mode? Do I need to load some gamma curves into my camera or something? I don’t even see different gamma curve options that have been available in picture profiles on sony cameras for the last decade. Where is the Cine 3, Cine 4, etc?
