    Hey Tim,

DVR does not support 10bit in its free version. You can use Sony Catalyst to convert the footage to 8bit and then import it in DVR, or invest in a studio license.

Hello Riccardo, you mentioned Sony Catalyst. I shoot with the FX6. Sony gives you the Browser for the footage. And / or buy Sony Catalyst. Both continue to crash on my Apple M-1 MAX. Sony Support does not answer ???s and pushes you off. But they get their money. I have sent them 12 emails. Am I missing something with preferences or has Sony not taken care of issues within Catalyst. I refuse to license it again until I’m certain of bugs removed. Thanks

    Hey David,
I was indeed referring to Catalyst Browse. Unfortunately, I experienced something similar to what you are. I am on Windows but similarly, Browse would constantly crash/not boot. I figured it was because I was trying to load files that were stored in the cloud. Apparently, that makes the program crash. Before I discovered what the issue was I tried to contact Sony’s support but no response from them. Terrible service

Thank you Ricardo, yes terrible, terrible Sony service. I wrote to them at least 6 times. It seems I am going a little longer with Browser before that crashes. I have been handling both Browser and Catalyst kid gloves but they still crash, especially Catalyst.

Have you tried uninstalling them and re-downloading the newer version?

Yes I have. Seems that on the M-1 MAX Apple, I Catalyst crashes. But on my iMAC the older Catalyst does not crash. Now I have to constantly switch computers back and forth if I want to quickkly color grade and then use the DaVinci on the MAX.

You can use fx6 footage on the free version of davinci resolve on a Mac if you install the apple pro video formats. It’s free and takes about a minute to install.
