Burn DVD ISO from DVD Arch when no Burner is present

May 23, 2022 at 8:15 pmNormally I proceed as if I’m going to burn the current project to a DVD, but when I get to the final window in the process, where I can rename the Volume and select the Device, I select ‘ISO Image Writer’ instead. However, now I’m doing this and the window is all greyed out. I suspect it’s greyed out because this computer does not have a DVD burner. I just need to output an ISO to then send to a duplication house. What to do?

Are they able to use an ISO file? Probably you will need to burn this ISO and send a DVD disk to the facility

May 24, 2022 at 12:48 amThanks for the response, but I think you may have misunderstood my issue. I’m trying to create an ISO file with DVD Architect. I don’t have a dvd burner. I always used to make ISO’s with DVD Architect, but now that I don’t have a burner, that screen seems to be grayed out.

May 24, 2022 at 1:17 amyour link is broken, but if it’s the same post I found before, it says to do it exactly as I say ..but I can’t do what it says because those options are greyed out for me. ..I think because I don’t have a DVD burner connected to this computer.

I have a notebook with no burner, and I would like to still use DVD Architect to create DVDs and just create ISO files.
However, when I choose to burn a DVD and get to the ‘select burn parameters’, everything is greyed out and I can’t do anything. I would like to pull-down the device selection and choose ISO..
How can I force it to default to ISO burn?
EDIT: wait, figured it out.. uncheck ‘use legacy drivers’ in preferences.. Works!Matthew Beall
