Cine EI footage noisy
Hi there,
Just doing some tests with an FX9 and finding that on Cine EI, the footage always seems incredibly noisy, especially when compared to the SDR setting on the camera. This happens regardless of the ISO settings (even when matching native and actual ISO).
Is that normal? And if so, is that just the payoff for getting the higher dynamic range?

I think if you’re using Slog 3, you’ll want to expose a little higher and use a lut that pulls things down as opposed to pulling them up. Slog 3 I believe is more for preserving details in the darks, whereas Slog 2 is more about preserving details in the brights.
