Thanks Peter, I just ordered. Once it arrives I’ll finally have my Intel Mac Pro ready to go into my edit suite.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

I found that I needed to:

click on the button of the sequence (upper-left):
    a) Set Video playback to HIGH.
    b) Set Frame Rate to FULL.

I think this helped the video doesn’t have the reverse feild look to it anymore. I still notice it’s not as smooth as other commercials I’ve seen, at least on my NTSC set.

    Thanks again,
    Tim

June 23, 2007 at 6:40 pm in reply to: Summer’s here!

You are correct, I was expecting the new version of BCC before the first day of summer. Darn!

But on the other hand, the weather has been wonderful the past couple of weekends, hope it will continues. Great lake weather!!!

[VideoGuy64] “We are not celebrating the onset of summer, although it is nice. The post meant that new versions were anticipated “this side of summer” meaning the spring side which has already passed!”

If you look down a bit, Peter has stated “this side of summer” for the release.

May 21, 2007 at 2:38 pm in reply to: Since we are all getting our FCS 2…..

Thanks, but I’m confussed. I received the following from Peter awhile back….

“You will need BCC 5 FxPlug for FCP 6, which should be available with the next few weeks. On the RED side you will need to have RED 4.1.4, which will be a free upgrade / patch for any RED 4 user. We’ll make both of these products available post the FCP 6 release just to be sure that the version that goes into the hands of the user community is working as well as the version that we test with in our labs.”

…or it might be a good way to take your mastered spot to the stations, at least for now. We’re still waiting to hear which way the stations here in Fort Wayne, IN on their format choice.

May 18, 2007 at 11:00 am in reply to: Credit Rolls with RED look wavy

I just ran into this same problem on a Credit Roll. I tried larger, thicker fonts but still had the “wavy” look, I also tried changing colors…all white to all grey but had no luck. It’s almost like you can see it climbing and wavering on every horizontal line of the monitor.

April 19, 2007 at 2:40 pm in reply to: FCP 6 Any improvements in the Text Generator?

Maybe if we all write to Cayman Graphics they’ll port their CG over to Mac. I used this back on Speed Razor, thought it was nice and easy to use.

Or maybe Apple will buy them???
