FCP6 can now record out to a P2 card in an HVX200! P2 Import is now in a better place, the “Log & TRANSFER” window. “Archive to Folder” is going to make all you P2 users pee yourselves, I am!

All the P2 info is in the “HD and Broadcast Formats” heading in the FCP Help menu. Pretty awesome!

Has tons of new things in FCP6, lots of tiny things, and they all add up to a fantastic upgrade! Great Job Apple!

It is a very nice upgrade indeed. It’s relatively stable too! Especially for a new release.

    How did you’re upgrade go?

If you happen to screw up and lose everything from the previous day’s shooting during transfer, you can just fix it post by recreating everything in a 3D app and transfering badck to P2 before anyone finds out.

…or it might be a good way to take your mastered spot to the stations, at least for now. We’re still waiting to hear which way the stations here in Fort Wayne, IN on their format choice.
