Adobe has been moving toward greater trim functionality on the timeline for some time, and in CC they reached a point where many thought they needed to go for some time.
I don’t think the trim monitor window is in the keyboard presets, so you may be out of luck there…
I would have to say that the trimming on the sequence is so flexible and capable that I haven’t opened the trim monitor since getting proficient with the new trim tools. Going back to CS6 drives me nuts in that respect.

The fact that the file exists at the end of the process is proof enough that something is going wrong at the end of the decode…that temp file should be gone as it would only exist until the destination file is properly written and closed.
I’d at least try to reinstall the software…does this happen on all your projects? Any type of media?

I’m not sure if the error might actually have been a result from the temp file not being able to be deleted…if you target a different destination for the output file, does the issue persist?

Did you transfer the media complete with the file hierarchy intact?
It sounds like the metadata is missing.

The error is pretty vague, so there would have to be a lot more info to troubleshoot it.
The file you’re seeing is a temp file that is created during the transcode. If the final file had been completed properly, that temp file would have been gone.

Using Max Depth is fine, but max quality is a different property…toward the bottom.

Did you turn on the keyframe capability on the destination clip property before pasting the keyframes?

Kevin answered you question with his response…The control is a little different depending on what version you’re using.
In CC use the track lock control on the far left of the track header on the tracks you want to stay put.
If you’re in CS6, the track locks are in the blank check box next to the track name.

You’ve answered it…if you created track keyframes, they’re attached to the track, not the clip. Choosing track/clip keyframes in your options are changing modes to view keyframes or to create new ones, not to affect existing keyframes.
