Yes, after activation the text tool, you can either click once in your document to type one line. Or you can drag a textbox similar as you would do in e.g. powerpoint.

To copy your selection onto a new layer:

Make your selection,
go the the menu bar and choose SELECTION
Save the selection
go the the menu bar and choose SELECTION
EDIT
INCREASE
select 1 pixel
press Ctrl J

Select the original layer, load the selection you saved before and press Ctrl X

FILE-OPEN and browse to one of the supported file types like .mov. MPEG1, 2 and 4, FLV or DV-avi.

Select the workspace for video to make an easy start.

What kind of edits do you want to make? Cuts can be made from the menu on top of the timeline. Adjustment layers can be added as usual. Effects are a little bit more work.

Are you working on Vegas-64bit? Then you should convert the files to files with the Lagarith codec. Otherwise you can also convert to e.g. DV-avi.

When you go to FILE-RENDER AS, you can create your own render templates.
After that, you can select those templates when you run the batch render script

Hi John,

I’m not sure whether we are talking about the same thing. The spice ofcourse determines the shape of the PIP (which allows me to create very rapidly all kinds of interesting compositions. But my question is about the blurring of, in this case, e.g the text. Even if I make the PIP complete visible, the text remains blurry (see figure)

When I used Spicemaster for transitions, I have never noticed this strong blur. If the Spicemaster PIP only works with full PIPs, then it has no advantage over other methods. But it is the flexibility of the shape of the mask which makes me very enthousiastic about using the spicemaster PIP.
Did you ever use spicemaster to create PIPs? And were they sharp?

Thanks Matthew. Then I have another question for you. I bought the new computer and Boris runs indeed fantastic! Except that I have problems with activating my copy of Boris FX 9.3.2 and Graffity 5.3.2. Boris tells me that my registrationnumber is not valid. This problem occurs with Vegas Pro 8.0c and 9.0c

So what is the right procedure to activate Boris FX and Graffitty on the new computer?
