Ah, this is how you do it. So it is not a function within PPro? Anyway, I will try it your way.

    Thanks for your time!

    Hi David,

    Thanks for your reply.

I am working on Windows 7 and PPro CS5. When I do a Windows search for associations, I get no hits. So the folder might be a hidden folder?
When I search the Adsobe Community Help for associations, I also get no hit. Sorry, but apparently I’m doing something wrong!

I can ony find an associations option in Bridge. Do I have to set the change in Bridge to get it to work in Premiere?
If not, can you give some more details on where to find this option?

Thanks again for your patience and help

    Hi David,

I also prefer your second solution. That’s exactly the way we use Izotope in Vegas. However, I must be blind or so because there is no way I can find where to change the setting for audio editor from Audition or Soundbooth to Izotope. Where can I make this change?

Are you using the VST plug-ins of izotope?

I have set Izotope RX as my standard audio editor. That means that I can open it from the Vegas timeline, edit a copy of the audio, save it and close Izotope RX again. The changes are immediatly present on the timeline as a new take. Working in this way never crashed Vegas for me.

Did you try this site to contact Izotope?

    Hi Peter,

I have uninstalled RED 4. Next I ran the registry cleaner from McAfee. Then I tried again to install RED 5. All versions (5.0, 5.02 and 5.04, 32bits and 64bits) gave the same error.

I hope that you or your engineers will be able to find a solution.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks that you are still looking into my problem. I did not uninstall 5.04. What happens is that the installation stops at the moment you see the error message on the picture (creating folders). Then it rolls back. I guess that means it un-installs itself.

You may be right that it is a permission issue, but then this is still specific for RED 5, since I could install RED 4 back without any problem. But also if it is a permission issue, I really would like to know how to proceed. A google search with error 1926 gave some hits, but not a clear solution.

When I’m at home tonight, I will do a registry cleaning and then try to re-install 5.02 as you suggested. I will let you know if that helps.

  • I quess that this would work nicely as long as the persons move their heads just horizontally or vertically (in 2D). But what if the head is turned around or moved forwards or backwards. The moustache would have to move in 3D space as well. In that case you would need something like Boris FX. Or is the BCC Motion Tracker capable to move the object also in 3D space?

And another piece of information: RED 4 has no problems in being installed on my computer. So the problem seems to be specific for RED 5. I hope this helps in finding a solution.

  • ‘Nesting’will give a hit in the help files. And nesting is already present ast least since version 6. But you are talking about version 11. Are you working woth movie Studio? Movie Studio has no nesting. To use nesting, you need the full version of Vegas.
