Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have realised that there are many overlaps between Excalibur, Ultimate S and Production Assistant. And I really like the way Production Assistant can enhance the speed by which new projects can be started. So I will be looking forward to the next version of Production Assistant…..

I just learnt that thing are even worse: Vegas 9 Pro doesn’t recognize at all the Boris plugins Graffitti and FX. Is there any chance that we will get an update of the Boris plugins for Vegas 9 pro?

OK, if you like to see your text over a background (like a video, motion background, solid color or whatever), place this background on track 3 below the other two tracks. Next, make track 2 a child of track 1. That makes track 3 visible as the background for your text.
And if you don’t see the old film effect through your text, you might need to increase the grain and/or the size of the particles.
