    Vista 32bit or Vista 64bit?

  • When you increase (or decrease) the speed of the audio and you don’t want to keep the pitch, right-click on the clip with the increased (or reduced) speed, select PROPERTIES and in the tab AUDIO EVENT select lock to stretch.

What do you mean with ‘tape-stop’ effect?

‘a) my file is about 3:30 long with 78 clips (including subclips) ive noticed that in the timeline a lot of my clips go blank like it wont read. If i go to project media and scroll down 1 at a time for them to load then delete a clip off the timeline and ctrl+z to refresh, some of them re-appear. But i can never have all clips loaded, always some of them blank which leads me to believe i got too many? wtf? Also when i added the clips and put them in they were fine. Another note, the clips are .avi but i downloaded all the codecs so it should work but doesnt.’

    Hi Ben,

78 events and 3’30” (or do you mean 3h30′?) is certainly not to much for Vegas Movie Studio. However, from your story I get the bad feeling that your footage is made with a kind of tropical codec. What kind of avi is used to make your footage?

If you want your particles to stop at the certain point, you can make the velocity over life zero at a certain timepoint. Make sure that the velocity variation is set to zero.

What is the resolution of the stills?
And did you try the Reduce Interlave Klicker option? (Right-click on the still and select PROPERTIES and then in the tab VIDEO EVENT select REDUCE INTERLACE FLICKER
If you want to do this with many stills at the same time, select them all, right-click on a still, select from the popup menu SWITCHES and select REDUCE INTERLACE FLICKER

‘URGENT! Hi! I’m having the same exact problem! Except I have Movie Studio 9.’
Is your problem that you also have lost a Vegas Movie Studio Window? Then you should right-click on an empty part of the taskbar of Windows. In the context menu you will find the PROPERTIES (in my example it is called EIGENSCHAPPEN).

For me, this works exactly the same in Vegas 8. I didn’t make any special settting for that.

July 25, 2009 at 10:13 am in reply to: Track Compositve Level

If I understand right, you have applied the track motion composite level envelope to an event and you want to move this envelope without moving the event? Normally this envelop moves together with the event, but there is a little trick you can do to move the envelop without the event:
Select the track with the envelop and choose INSERT- EMPTY EVENT.
Place the empty event over the event with the envelop and make the length the same as the event with the envelop. When you now move the empty event forward or backwards, the envelop will follow the empty event. Next you place the new event that should contain the envelop on top of the empty event (at the same track).
Ofcourse, you can obtain the same result when you would like to move the envelop just within one event.
