August 19, 2009 at 1:33 pm in reply to: how to go back to Color Correction?

If you open the original color correction fx, the settings should be there. If you apply a new copy of the color correction fx, everything is set to zero.
And you can always remove the color correction again to bring the event back into its original state (Open the fx window from the specific event and delete the color correction from the fx queue on the top of the fx window).
You can even bring your color correction setting to another event via COPY (the original event) and ‘PASTE ATTRIBUTE’ it onto the new event.

There are many many ways to isolate a foreground object from the background. The ‘best’ way completely depends on the picture and often includes the use of channels. To get a good advice, it would be good to add your picture to your reply.

Yes in Vegas Pro you can always drag a .veg file onto the timeline of your Vegas master project (check the manual for ‘nesting’). This nested vegfile will appear as 1 event on the timeline, but opening the nested veg file in Vegas allowws you to make changes which will be automaticly updated in your master veg file.

There is a plugin for Vegas available which allows full control over the behavior of the transitions, including the ARC-shape (that results in the appearence and the disappearence of the second event: spicemaster

Particle Illusion is a stand alone program. Download the free lagarith codec, render your PI project as avi file with the lagarith codec (select to include alpha channel) and import this rendered file into your Vegas project.
