Hey everyone, Im pretty new to animations, and was wondering how you would go about keyframing a jumping motion. As I understand it, the frames transition from point A to point B in a straight line. Is there anyway to arc it?

Despite repeated requests for Tension, Continuity and Bias controls like those found in Lightwave, all you can do is add more keyframes between points A & B to smooth out the jumping motion.

If you right-click a keyframe, there are a number of choices for how the values will move in/out of the keyframe value – it’s not full animation control, but a lot better than nothing.

There is a plugin for Vegas available which allows full control over the behavior of the transitions, including the ARC-shape (that results in the appearence and the disappearence of the second event: spicemaster
