    woahwoahwoah

Lots of things are missed in AE 3d default features. Possibly the most important one is the extrude option. Any plugin that could integrate an extruded layer with some basic features integrated into the layer without a filter. z depth for cubes, for example. But I certainly don’t know if that’s possible.

A probably easier way, I haven’t had to do it, but could work, I don’t know.

Once freeze frames, draw a mask on that layer, exactly where the trackpoints are. Menu: Layer/Mask/New Mask. That will automatically create a mask that covers the exact real edges of the layer.

Now the trick: Effects/Distort/Reshape. Put the masks correctly and the desired content of the photo will be expanded to reach the edges that get handled with the corner pin effect, that will scale down the picture to be exactly as it was, but with the difference that they will handle the edges correctly.

Anyway, I am no guru of the Reshape filter. I just presume that will work.

Thanks to your comments and support, Colin. Check out the relative vertex interpolation, I think you didn’t have it in the version you tested.

Precomp that composition and in another that is, for example, 11930 x 2000. Put the precomped layer on top and render it if you can. Then change the position to -2000 and render again and again until you finish. Merge all files in photoshop. If you can’t you will have to reduce that 2000 to a size your computer can manage.

    Good luck!

A lot, lot, lot of time ago I used to play around with Klik & Play, a Windows based game developer tool for kids. It was quite good for GUIs (far better than for games), but that was at the 3.11 times.

There’s a free version of it as well, and several older much enhanced versions for sale here: https://www.clickteam.com/English/index.php

They will probably work in an even more simple way than VB.

Well, I don’t know if that’s what I would choose with that kind of project, but it surely would be one of my first approaches. Good luck!

Perhaps it would be easier to put the shadows together with the figures before using the card wipe filter.

Perhaps Water World and Caustics filters combined on the same layer could do the trick.
