I am having a terrible time figuring out this color thing. As I understand it (or not) DVavi from a camera will import into Vegas as Studio RGB (or 7.5 to 236). So the clips we put on the time line will be such. What about photos that we import. From scanner, from a CD etc. How do we know what they are coming in as? The generated media I would assume is computer RGB?? Do we need to change each event to the output form , Computer RGB if meant for web or computer viewing and Studio RGB if meant for viewing on TV and I assume a projector before we do color corrections. Then the whole project needs to be converted to either Studio or computer RGB depending on the viewing form? HELP??

I use iRiver. BTW only the now discontinued 7xx and 8xx series had remote mic recording capability. I use a mic from Giant Squid – works great as a back up.

Listen to your existing audio with headphones while you record your narration.

You can use “select all” and then delete selections by “ctrl/click” leaving the ones you want to move as a block.
If you have Excalibur it has a function for selecting and grouping.
You can select the first one you wasnat to move and then “shif5t/click” the last one you want to move and you will have grouped those two plus any that are in between and you can move them as a block.
    Hope one of these helps.

    Spot,
Thanks for the article. My 65 year old brain has a hard time getting around some of these things.

    Spot,
Can you guide us toward some instructions on how to set up our editing computer and/or video monitor for video (DVD) vs web? Not only what settings to use but physically how to make those settings? Thanks so much.
