You can use “select all” and then delete selections by “ctrl/click” leaving the ones you want to move as a block.
If you have Excalibur it has a function for selecting and grouping.
You can select the first one you wasnat to move and then “shif5t/click” the last one you want to move and you will have grouped those two plus any that are in between and you can move them as a block.
    Hope one of these helps.

Use the Selection Edit Tool (icon has an arrow) then drag across events you want to select. Then either drag them all together or Ctrl/X them and Ctrl/V (paste) them where you want them to reappear.

If u use the normal selection tools just press the letter ‘D’ on the keyboard twice to select multiple items.

As a follow-up to that question, is there any way to select all events to end using a key combo? Right-clicking and hitting “n” for “select events to end” is nice, but it only selects in the track you’re on plus any grouped clips. I’d love if Vegas 8 would add something like that, or has someone already done that with a script somewhere?

Yes, it is part of Excalibur (the Select Events tool).

John Rofrano has a Select Events From Cursor script on the VASST site that will select all the events on all tracks that are under the current cursor position and to the right of it.
It was written for Vegas 4 so you’ll have to open it up in Notepad, change the line that says import SonicFoundry.Vegas; to import Sony.Vegas; and resave it.

Wow that was absolutely what I was looking for, thanks. I’ll search some sites later and see if there’s a way I can bind that script to a key command, but just having it on the toolbar is a nice addition.

Yes, it can be added to a keystroke. Just open up the keyboard editing screen and pick that script and assign it to the desired keypress.
