Save as type ‘Main Concept MPEG2’
Template ‘DVD Archetect NTSC videostream (or widescreen)
You will see under description audio none.
Then render again save as type Dolby digital AC3
Template – there are a couple of changes you might want to make to the settings but I don’t have them handy in front of me right now.
This will be audio only.
Saved as same names in same folder Archetect will find them and use them -
I typically have 5 seconds of black but that is just me.
You can use select all from the edit menu and then everything will move in unison to the right when you drag something. Then use generated media, solid color, black to place your black leader and adjust it to your desired length. Then choose select all then control click the black event which removes it from the group and you can slide everything back to connect with the black event.

At what point (and how) in your workflow do you adjust for the difference in computer RGB and video RGB?

Click the CUSTOM button, then the video tab and you will find controls for bitrate. At least in Vegas full program.

I just downloaded an animated GIF of a flying dove and imorted it into Veg6. When I placed it on the timeline it showed up as 5 frames. I then zoomed in, ‘cntrl/dragged the right side to the maximum which was 20 frames. I then extended the clip to 60 frames. It played back perfectly in the preview. I then rendered for testing purposes an mpeg2 of that time line and the saved file played back perfectly. I would see no reason that I could not use that mpeg2 file to burn a dvd and have it play but have not taken it that far.
I just took and added a velocity envelope and slowed it waaaay down.

Never have gotten it resolved, but have not tried very hard. I actually got the entire disc to burn but couold not get it to play past the break on any DVD pplayer. I don’t do many long projects and can usually fit my programs on a SL without lowering the bitrate too much.

Along the same lines and adding to this question -if you don’t mind:
I know that you should use a broadcast monitor for color correction if your program is going to be viewed on TV (as comparerd to computer, web etc. But does it matter as to whether the tv its going to be viewed on is crt or lcd or plasma for that matter. If so, and with the great viewing shift to flat screens are broadcast monitors basically obsolete.
