If the LUT is clipping something you shouldn’t put that in the beginning of the node tree.

Encore still works. At least on Windows. You can get that by installing Premiere CS6.

Yeah this is one of those things that should be dealt with before the edit or better yet before the shoot. If the footage does not have unique file names/timecode/reel names then they should be transcoded to a better format with that information. If the files have unique identifiers you can easily see what’s happening.

50i is 50 fields per second (interlaced) and every frame has two fields so it is actually 25 fps.

This has nothing to do with your hardware. You’ll need to get a new version of Premiere to use adjustment layers.
E: But if you update your Premiere you’ll need to update your hardware as well.

If I remember correctly that feature was added in the later versions.

If you don’t use any effects/features that can use the GPU then everything will be done on the CPU.

If you have big stills they are being computed in their original resolution even if you scale them down. If you add 3D movement and maybe motion blur on top of that it will get really heavy.

What is it that you’re trying to do? What kind of file formats do you have in your project? What is the resolution and frame rate? What effects are you using? Are you using 3D cameras/lights/etc? What are your memory settings? Are you perhaps using some readymade template?
Also the GPU doesn’t really do anything unless you’re actually using features that use that.
