No. The studio version has some things that help with performance. Not the other way around. Create optimized media and edit with that.

I have no idea why you would keep the Quadro. It’s underpowered, unsupported and ancient.

Have you checked the exports on other machines or the Macbook only? If it happens only on the Macbook display then the GPU is probably going. If the eGPU chassis has a place to connect a display you could also test if it’s happening through that.

IMHO Those chat filter/AR tracking gimmicks aren’t good enough for final quality fx work. Also a lot of that is using information that you can’t get from just a footage file (eg. depth information from multiple cameras).

What is the source resolution of the footage and what are your sequence settings? If you fit, for example, DCI 4K (4096×2160) in a 16:9 sequence you’ll have bars because the image is wider.
If the aspect ratios match then you can just re-export the file and crop the extra area.

Firewire is dead and buried. You can capture to Resolve by using a Blackmagic I/O device and capturing the signal. AFAIK the best quality image out of that camera would use the component signal.
