I tried everything, but only Rossimo’s recent suggestion worked – unchecking Align to Pixel Grid in the TRANSFORM window panel (Window > Transform). I had it disabled everywhere else but here. Thanks!!

Yea I accidently renamed to MP4 when trying to fix it, it is originally a MPG file extension.

Okay, so I adjust FFT Size to 512 and captured the noise point, but never having used this tool before I cannot figure out how to apply it throughout the entire track.

I’m getting a “Please select a longer duration of audio for the noise print capture or change the ‘FFT Size’ setting within the Noise Reduction dialog.
I don’t see FFT Size, and my plan is to do a noise reduction capture for each of the three points. It doesn’t seem you can select multiple spots at once.

Any good references on really learning to master the graph editor? It seems like I’m missing something, or else I feel I should’ve been able to see the change happening within the curves – unless perhaps the keyframe types themselves override what you see.

I was able to successfully render the videos; first in Vegas as a WMV, then through Adobe Media Encoder to MP4 to get the 1:1 aspect ratio for Vimeo.
I’d love to understand what was going on. And understand codecs more appropriately as well, specifically how to manage them.
I made a list with InstalledCodec, anything look wrong with this?

You could also split the audio tracks and adjust gain on each individual piece.

Not an expert on this stuff, but I do know that some programs won’t playback files at 60fps. Also, make sure your display drivers are updated and that the CPU is not being overworked (i.e. 100% usage during playback).
Try rendering at 30fps and see if its more ‘readable’.
