I can change the volume playback level of course but can I change the recorded level. What I mean is one part of the video has been recorded at one level and another at another level. I can isolate those sections of course for editing purposes so if I could isolate then bring the volume up to the level of the other section is that is what I should do. Can this be done?

Click anywhere on the audio track and press the ‘v’ key to add a volume envelope.
Then double-click the line 4 times to add 4 points.
Raise or lower the level by dragging the line between points 2 and 3 higher or lower.

OK Thanks. I’ll get right to it.

You could also split the audio tracks and adjust gain on each individual piece.
