  • Hello,

If I have to relink an image sequence that was previously interpreted as 25fps, then after relink it goes to 29.97 (even though my preferences setting for image sequence fps is 25, so a bug) and then I get this diagonal line thing on timeline also. After I interpret everything with correct framerate, everything is ok.
I have no idea if Your problem is the same, but maybe it helps.

    Hello,

Acceleration is definately there, you just get less layers than non-blackmagic project.
I get 2-3 layers or so. Depending on your needs it may be not enough, but it satisfies my needs completely as I rarely have more than 2 layers on the same time.
    Im using Decklink Extreme 2, i7 920, gtx285.

    I hope it helps

I have Blackmagic HD Extreme 2 and nvidia gtx285 and 5Dmk2 (1080/25p) and blackmagic uncompressed 1080 avi sequences handled several gpu accelerated effects per clip last time I tried.
I usually don’t need more than 1-2 layers and at least 2 layers of dslr footage (both layers with 2-3 effects) played flawlessly.
I think DVCPROHD 1080/25 was behaving nicely too.
Only drawback is that there are no blackmagic RED presets so that may be a problem.

    Hello

I had the same kind of thing, but as I use Blackmagic so maybe it doesnt help You.
I had previously (in other project) captured through firewire and had disconnected the deck afterwards. When I had to export to tape in other project later (export through blackmagic HD-SDI this time) the menu was grayed out also. The problem for me was that it was still expecting firewire deck control and there was no deck connected. So I had to open capture window and change capture deck control settings there from DV/HDV to Blackmagic. That made ‘export to tape’ menu available again.

Maybe it doesnt help you as i dont know if matrox has it the same way as blackmagic.

I tested it some time ago and got Intensity Pro to work on Win7 64b without any problems. Didnt do anything else besides seeing if it works, so cant comment on stability.

July 27, 2009 at 10:18 am in reply to: linking project media files (changing computers)

    Hello

I have had the same kind of trouble with P2 footage, as it has files in many different folders also.

The solution that worked for me was to use some kind of text editor (in my case it was NotePad++, available for free at https://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm ) and do search/replace in premiere .prproj file, as it is a simple text/script file it works quite well.

Depending how much file path changes from original the tags I changed were < FilePath > and also < RelativePath > if needed. (an example of one of that tag from project – < FilePath >D:\premiere projektid\Coca Cola Soundwave\COCACOLA2406\COCA_materjal\coca_cola\MXF_COCA\230609p2rnu\02_32\CONTENTS\VIDEO\0021WO.MXF< /FilePath > )

(I added spaces before > and after < characters so that forum wouldnt strip them) Usually with RED/P2 material you only have to change the first part of the path as the end folder structure is the same. Of course the easiest way is if you can keep the directory structure same as the project had originally, but when there are external/different drives then one has to change at least the drive letter. It may be a little technical at first and may require some trial-error experimenting but it can work very easily if understood properly. As it is quite easy to change it with 3rd party tool like that it also makes me wonder why some more intuitive and easier method isnt already built in program. Tanel PS. sorry if its a bit confusing as I am not the best in explaining stuff and not native english speaker

November 11, 2008 at 12:52 pm in reply to: core2 duo motherboard for decklink extreme?

    Hello

Sorry to hear about Your troubles getting it to work. This summer we got our first blackmagic product – Decklink HD Extreme 2 PCIe, and there has been no problems so far (beginners luck maybe 🙂 ).
Its in self-built PC and motherboard is Abit IX38 QuadGT (x38 chipset). Chose it as it was the only available mb here with DDR2 support and with more than 2 faster than 1x PCIe slots (all others needed DDR3 already and I wanted a cheap upgrade using old CPU/RAM at that time).
The motherboard has performed fine with all PCIe slots filled (decklink, gfx, raid, scsi) and using Vista Business x64 and CS3. No special tweaks in BIOS that I can remember, as it kinda worked at once.
