Great stuff there, David! I’ll post a few more bone-headed questions and such on the thread that’s going over there. Either way, i like the triple-boot set up option. Pretty cool indeed!

David, I would be happy to wait. Your info is always top-notch and I was considering those two upgrades on this go ’round as well, though don’t see FCP X as critical for me right now. Either way, the system needs a good cleaning and re-org. I have one raid for media and might do one for my system drive as well. Thanks for the heads up!

  • David, not really. It is mostly organized when i bring the folders into FCP, but a few shots here and there that needing finer organizing as i breeze over the footage (beauty shots, slo mo, etc.)

  • hmmm…thanks, Shane. any idea why it is telling me now? again, not a big deal, and i’m sure you have far better things to do than answer questions like this. by the way, how DO you find time to become a super smart editor AND answer dumb questions like mine? and, just to have something bigger to answer in the next round, how much does the moon weigh?

    (thanks!) : )

…uh…and today the video IS scrubbing on my output monitor, but i swear i made no changes. Just curious what setting this might be. Either way, i shant look a gift horse in the mouth, for it is stinky in there.

Wow, thanks for all the input on this guys! I was about to do the option of telling my client to purchase MacDrive, but today it seems better if I buy Paragon or MacFuse so i’m speaking his language rather than expecting him (or others) to speak mine. I’ll look into both of those options and get this thing going…

    Thanks again!

i don’t get it…so why would i want FAT-32 if it won’t take anything over 4GB? it seems like ExFAT is the only (real) choice???

okay…here’s my dumb question (or two): is “FAT-32” the same as “MS-DOS (FAT)”? If not, where/how do i format in FAT-32, because Disk Utility does not offer it as an option…and does FAT-32 allow for files bigger than 4GB?
