Best place to go for system set up info?

I’m about to do an annual reinstall of system software and FCP Studio and have perused my mentors here a bit on this subject, but wonder if you all know of “the” perfect place to go for the current best info on an optimal set up for FCP? If this is the place, great…i’ll keep perusing, but if not, i don’t want to muck up the works here asking these questions.

Can you just wait a day or two Mr. Newbury? I’d strongly advise holding off on your system setup until you take a look at the new tutorial I’ve prepared for the Creative Cow. I think you and others might find it most interesting.

David, I would be happy to wait. Your info is always top-notch and I was considering those two upgrades on this go ’round as well, though don’t see FCP X as critical for me right now. Either way, the system needs a good cleaning and re-org. I have one raid for media and might do one for my system drive as well. Thanks for the heads up!

We’re going to polish it up a little, but you’ll get the idea. This setup enables all of us to easily switch between the old and new, and preparing for it now as I show in this tutorial will work to your advantage whenever you decide FCP X and/or OS X Lion are right for you.

Great stuff there, David! I’ll post a few more bone-headed questions and such on the thread that’s going over there. Either way, i like the triple-boot set up option. Pretty cool indeed!
