It was sticky as you said, but I got it and what also helped is when I dragged the lower right corner to make it slightly bigger. Why that helped, have no idea. Thanks you

On another note, I learned FCP from your Complete Training for FCP 6. I have become a big believer in DVD training, if I can see it, I can do it.

double clicking worked, the window came up, however, the log location is now gone and a double click or drag does not return it.
when I closed down and started log and transfer again, just the window comes up.

I had to download the update. I was still on 8.b Thanks for pointing me in the right direction

One more question my show video frames button is greyed out. I can’t click on it. So is the external monitor button. I assumed that was because I do not have an external monitor hooked up.

But I would have thought I could click on the show video frames button to show frames in the wave form timeline. Is there something I need to do to set that up?

John R sent me a tutorial that answered the question. What I wanted to know, how to insert a clip between two clips without that clip over lapping? If that not clear, when I drop a clip to the timeline I want a space to open up and allow a clip to drop in?
I still not sure if I am explaining it well enough. But the tutorial is very good. I use the trimmer already to preview clips. I think all is answered. Thank you for responding and poking around to help. I love this forum. It’s the best one around
