  • log and transfer/window does not show

I have no problem using log and transfer with my SD cards. But what’s driving me crazy is the window where you can play the clip, use in and out points does not show. I thougth maybe I needed to grab the little tab, move it over to expose the window with information. There is nothing to move. I am not sure if there is a set up I need to do? I am sure there is something I’m missing. I would like to see if I can sort this out if possible.

You can pull the separator bar to the right to remove the window. It’s tricky though to get it to come back. Try double clicking on the right hand edge. You should be able to grab the edge of the window and pull it back. If all else fails trash your preferences.

double clicking worked, the window came up, however, the log location is now gone and a double click or drag does not return it.
when I closed down and started log and transfer again, just the window comes up.

As I said you can drag the edge and the separator, but they’re very sticky. Did you trash your preferences? That will reset the window.

It was sticky as you said, but I got it and what also helped is when I dragged the lower right corner to make it slightly bigger. Why that helped, have no idea. Thanks you

On another note, I learned FCP from your Complete Training for FCP 6. I have become a big believer in DVD training, if I can see it, I can do it.
