That’s exactly what I’m trying to track! Look at you, being a dork, too.

I meant the motion was simple…either way, I’ve mostly gotten it figured out – I just need to track her upper body.

Only problem now is that the effing matte is the only thing that’ll show up unless the zoom is at 25%, which is way too small to accomplish ANYTHING and I’ve tried adjusting my settings.

    grr…

    That blows.

I don’t know anyone who would do it for me…

However, for some reason, it works better (not perfectly, mind you) if I duplicate the layer a million times, track one body part on each layer, then just have like 40 layers, each with a different body part.

This is going to be hella aggravating.?

I tried to track just the calf, but the same thing happened. As well, I also tried just the hair, and, again, the spline wouldn’t behave. I’ve attempted tracking the arm, the hand, the torso (each separately) and the spline always drifts and distorts. I don’t think it’s the size that’s he issue here – since I have tried tracking the hand, which is not large at all, and that went wonky, too.

    Bleeping iCloud!

Apparently, since I usually keep a copy of the files on my Desktop for easy access, I didn’t think about the fact that that meant the darn folder would have been in my iCloud folder; I found all but one of the project files, but it’s luckily not one actually used in the video.

This was just me being a dumbo. Although now I’m having to re-download them from my iCloud to link them again, which is a dog.

    Either way, thanks, guys!

  • I don’t have a “Shape layer”; I have a layer that is footage, with a twirl down of Effects, and a twirl down within that, which then shows “Shape data”, “Translation X”, “Translation Y”, “Scale”, “Rotation”, “Shear X”, “Shear Y”, “Perspective X”, “Perspective Y”. And each of those have a bunch of keyframes.
I was going to select all of those keyframes, copy them, and paste them onto my Mask, but there aren’t all of those aspects, simply “Mask path”, hence, my problem.

Thanks, guys! It turns out that I can restore it to the old version, simply by clicking “Previous Versions” and finding it there. Such a simple fix that took an insane amount of Googling to find.

It’s re-installing PrPro 2016 now; I’ll see how it goes. With my luck, my projects won’t open.

I didn’t even know that was possible…I use Creative Cloud, and it basically makes the non-up-to-date apps not open UNLESS you update them!

That being said, is there a way to revert Premier back to the previous version?

Would restoring my Mac to a week ago fix this?
    I’m DEVASTATED
    ????????????

  • I’ve been having this same problem the last several times I’ve used After Effects, and nothing I’ve tried has helped. But, after reading Matt Jones’ comment

I got this sorted by going to Preferences > Memory, and making sure “Reduce Cache size when system is low on memory” is NOT checked.

I unchecked “Reduce Cache size when system is low on memory”, and nada! my problem is fixed!

    Thanks, Matt Jones!
