I have reinstalled the driver, but the problem is still there. its just “a little bit” better.

I contacted my seller and he sent me this link:
    ftp://ftp.areca.com.tw/RaidCards/AP_Drivers/MacOS/DRIVER/SnowLeopard/V133_20100627/

but the file is corrupted.. so he is now getting areca to fix the file first…

Will post here once I can install this driver.

    thanks so much.

Obviously I’m not very savvy in this kind of stuff.. very very bad actually. I just copy the links that my seller gave me and not checking it myself whether its the latest one.

Do I need to erase my previous driver or do I just carry on and install this new one that you gave me?

    Thanks again

    Hi Shane,

    Thanks for replying

    I’m editing AIC codec footage.

My RT settings are set to unlimited and I’ve tried safe as well. didn’t make a difference.

    Thanks

    Hi Jonathan, thanks for replying

My raid card is areca ARC-1222X.

How do I check if I got the latest firmware? I installed this one here:

    ArcMSR-1.3.2.universal.10.6.10A432.dmg

    install_mraid.zip

THe render speed of the sohotank is definitely a lot faster than the normal raid esata drive that i used previously. But the sohotank fails to render a simple text layer.. and after that, it starts to slow the whole thing down until the point I have to restart fcp and avoid playing the timeline through a text layer

thanks in advance for your help

Sorry, I never got to fix my file, ended up redoing it from the last working project file. I’m sure that the file was corrupted in someway. Good luck to you.

    o wow…

now its getting closer to the truth..

I’ve tried the autosave vault and only the files from two days before this one are able to be opened. The problem is, I made a lot of changes in those two days.

OK, I guess I have to accept the truth now and start to redo the whole thing again with the latest working file from the autosave vault..

I suspect there is a corrupted media file but don’t know which one.

    Thanks guys, much appreciated..

    Thanks for the reply Walter,

One question though, How can I save as the project file if I can’t even open it on fcp?

do you mean renaming it because I’ve tried it with no luck.

    hi,

I’ve tried the demo filters from nattress,

whats the differences between those de-interlacers? they all seems the same to me.

Which package should I buy if I want the 50i -> 24p/25p stuff.

I assume that the package would be the standard conversion, but Im just wondering if Film Effects filter also has the same conversion effects.

    thanks,

    jack
