for data protection you should always offload your card onto a hard drive and then log and transfer the clips. by doing the above it may also solve your current issue.

i figured it out. i went to project settings and increased the bitrate to 40 from 15.

i have a unrelated question. does P2 Formatter not format the cards to FAT32? since i started using this program the clips from the camera dont split up at 4gb of use.

your sequence settings will be 720×960 in FCP but when you export your timeline it will be exported as 720×1280

i tried apple K and it doesnt work. i cant find the insert edit or overlay edit key in the keyboard layout. ive looked in the tools section and there is no insert edit or overlay option.
