when I go to format one of my P2 cards with panasonic “P2 Formatter” software I get a error message. All my other cards format fine. Anyone else run into this or have any idea why this happens to only one of my cards? Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Dan

Can you format the card in camera? Is the firmware up to date on the card?

I don’t get errors but sometimes it will crash on opening. A restart always solves the problem.

[sunny jhooty] “does P2 Formatter not format the cards to FAT32?”

Yes it does, otherwise your camera wouldn’t be able to use them.

your MXF files are bigger than 4GBs? I have to say I don’t believe you. The resulting quicktime movie form log and transfer might be bigger than 4GBs, but the mxf file won’t be.
