Hi, the link you quote here appears to provide a pdf that is empty and has an extension of “.webloc” Did it work for you? If so, how did you extract it? Cheers, Stu

Hi Mario.. I had the same problem and it is a matter of setting permissions on the folder that the files reside in. This is what worked for me:

Start->Run->”explorer”->(Navigate to Folder)->(Right Click On Folder)->Sharing & Security->(Check) Share this folder on the network->(Check) “Allow network users to change my files”.

Try it. Hope it works for you!

    Stu.

Problem solved: Updated nVidia driver to 169.47 and QT version to 7.6. Source monitor now plays OK with locators, record monitor hopefully no longer random colours! Cheers, Stu.

Hi Vin.. I’ve tried 4 flavours of MC: 3.0.0, 3.0.5, 3.1.1, 3.1.2. The xw4300:3.4GHz hyperthreading Pentium, 1GB RAM, Windows XP SP2. As I said initially, it was working fine until an install of other software and, if my memory serves me correctly, an automatic update happened by mistake. I have removed all the Windows updates from that day, but no difference. Stu

Thanks for confirmation Terence. It is what I thought, but someone brought up the possibility of a transcode of the HD media if the project is set to SD. Cheers, Stu.

Hi Mike… thank you so much for the tip. We are very new to Vegas (been using Avid for years) and couldn’t find any indication in the Help section re this. Your solution of hitting the Cancel button (didn’t know it cancelled just the peaks build) is a good one, as we can still see the frame display on the timeline, which is useful for quickly accessing the parts we need to remove. Many thanks, Stu

Have just restored the machine to a previous restore point, re-installed MC3.1.1 and all appears well. If anyone has an idea on what may have been corrupted, I’d be very interested to know. Stu.
