    Hi Adam-
No – I just want to back these up for future use/changes to program in FCP!!

So – am I correct that there is NO way to create a _single_ multi-layer Aiff file in FCP/FCS?

    yoiks!

Hi Mike- thanks for quick response!!

well – your advise got me ONE step closer 😉
    Your advice plus:
Figured out by using “Toggle-auto-select” widget on each channel, I can assign them to one of the 4 stereo pairs so now:
I am outputting the _8_ channels as _4_ separate Aiff files…

Better than nothing, but I _know_ there is such a thing as a single file with more than 2 channels (FX I pull from SoundTrack Pro has them!), so what am I doing wrong??

    Thanks Rafael

    Didn’t work-
Tried “export>export Audio to Aiff – trying both “Stereo Mix” and as “Channel Grouped”
Both result in all mixed to a 2 channel file…

    am I missing something??

    Thanks Jerry-
    *sigh*
I know, of course, that you should always buy the “fastest computer you can afford” and I was thinking of the base dual 2.66 processor version. Its a pretty big leap in $$ to the other 2 higher output models and I’m trying to grasp what performance gains there will be for the $$ spent? perhaps an unrealistic question.

Jerry you mentioned Storage Solutions for Raid- do you have an address or link? When I google it I get a zillion unrelated sources 🙁

    Thanks again!

Thanks Zane – I pretty well figured that too –
for giggles I pulled the card, dusted it off, re-seated it AND changed the CPU battery…
    IT WORKS!
    (well, for now…)
