    Peter,

Any sign of the list yet – I too would be interested for exactly the same reason.

    Thank you

Boris BCC7 for vegas does not contain the particle engine present in the other versions.

Particle Illusion from Genarts gives you a very powerful standalone particle generator which can generate AVIs for importing into Vegas.

I have queried the lack of the particle engine in BCC 7/Vegas with Boris but they have not responded yet.

As far as I can see (and I would love to be proven wrong) you cannot create a slow-mo clip longer than the source clip. the docs are not written for Vegas – you cannot select the source layer as suggested in the documentation in Vegas.

    Dan,

Select the text you want to save by holding down the left arrow and highlighting the text in the script.

    Then right-click and select ‘copy’

Open notepad (or any other text editor), paste the text into it and save the file with the name suggested by Mike above.

That then gives you a new file containing just the script. Reference that file as suggested by mike.

To the best of my knowledge the ‘save as’ does not work for selected text in browsers – only images or referenced links.

    Hope this helps

    Wow Pierre,

Given what has happened in the past week with FCPX your post from June 18 is a little scary in its accuracy…

You should be picking lottery numbers…

    Peter,

Did you get a chance to check up on the particle effects not present in BCC?

    Thanks

    Petroi,

You can install all the Sony products side by side – you do not need to uninstall one to upgrade to another version.

    Peter,

I had a look at Red previously, and decided at the time to purchase BCC for Vegas – and I am very happy with it. Unfortunately I am finding it a bit difficult to justify the price for Red given that the majority of Red is also included in BCC already – I would be purchasing a lot of the effects for a second time… (that being said – as a developer I understand that you guys need to eat as well, and I do respect your right to set your pricing policy)

Now perhaps if the upgrade pricing could apply to BCC7 users adding in Red then maybe I might be tempted!! Any such offers available?

Just in case anybody is interested – the position data exported from the Boris motion tracker is interpreted by Particle Illusion.

Once you export the position data from BCC’s motion tracking, just remove the OFX header lines in the file – PI does not seem to like thme – make the first line in the file the first position data…

    Standards – don’t you just love ’em…
