    I installed 2 Boris effects, but I can’t find them in SV…
Also, for those who use these effects, are they worth it? I heard they are even better than New Blue.

Which 2 effects? If they are OFX based effects they won’t work in Vegas Pro 9.0. You’ll need to upgrade to Vegas Pro 10.0 to use any of the new OFX effects from Boris, GenArt’s, NewBlue, etc.

Yeah, I think that’s the problem, that I have pro 9, and not 10.
In order to install 10, do I need to uninstall 9 previously? And will I lose the installed New Blue FXs and colorings?

    Petroi,

You can install all the Sony products side by side – you do not need to uninstall one to upgrade to another version.

No, you can have as many versions of Vegas installed as you’d like. I have both 9 and 10 in both the 32 and 64 bit versions and all is working fine.

I can’t install SV Pro 10 because I don’t have Service Pack 3 (I use Windows XP). I activated the updates from Internet Explorer, should this Pack 3 be installed sometime soon?

If you want to run Pro 10, the answer is yes.
Be sure to set a restore point before doing the upgrade just in case something goes wrong.
Even better is a backup of your C drive.

You may need to download SP3 manually. This is very old now and XP is no longer supported by Microsoft so you are really on your own to get this to work. I thought there was a manual download of SP3 somewhere on the Microsoft site that you can use. Try this:

Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network Installation Package for IT Professionals and Developers
