    Again, same problem here…..

Anyone have any solution, and have RedGiant even acknowledged the issue (or for that matter Adobe!)

    Thanks.

I only use FW800, and try not to have them full, although does happen so good advice 🙂

I cleared out every audio and video render file – using render manager – and then wiped all the attached drives render folders and did the render and self contained export all over again, and thankfully it worked this time!!

I guess I just need to have a full clearout before rendering out the final composite next time!

    Thanks again

The clips are on an external drive, and exporting back to the same external drive.

    thanks

September 27, 2005 at 12:58 pm in reply to: FCP and ADVC-110 Canopus for Preview ?

    as a follow up…

is there an alternative piece of hardware that will offer the same functions as the ADVC-110, but also allow me to preview HDV, or speed up HDV to SD downconversion? I have a Sony Z1 HDVcam and currently only shoot in SD, but planning to use the HDV functions more regularly next year? In fact anything that will do the same job but improve HDV editing in general? Thanks again.

July 26, 2005 at 2:33 pm in reply to: Keyboard Shortcut for Clip Speed?

    Thanks Walter,

i guess i wondered if there was a keyboard shortcut for doing the action to that i could highlight the clip on the timeline and it would perform :

control click > choose ‘speed’ from the list > type 50 > type return

It’s just that theres no shortcut for ‘speed’? on my old system i hit ALT+E and the speed dialog popped up, so i could set my shuttle pro2 to type all the info in and i could get 50% speed clips on hitting one button. Even if there was a filter i could create that i could apply to a bunch of clips in one go that would help?

    Thanks again

I echo MusMan as i too bought the Dell 24″ 2450 FPW and it’s superb. Great quality image/brightness/sharpness and component, svideo, vga, dvi inputs! PLus significantly cheaper than the Apple 23″ monitor.

Here in the UK the Dell was 790 pounds, whereas the Apple 23″ is 1049 pounds!

    Best of luck

It’ll be a clean Tiger OS so hopefulyl that will be OK. (i will get all OS updates before starting FCS install)

Hope adding in QT7 won;t muck it up!! OH so many worries 🙂

    Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to post Walter 🙂

Great, it must have been previous OS’s that caused problems then, as it appears they allowed installation out of s atrict order.

Looking forward to it already !!!

my brain is about to explode! It’s taken me a month to decide to switch to Mac from PC and here i go again 🙂
