Let’s see … anything that can’t be done in the render queue, such as SWF, AVI (on Mac) or DV stream.

I’ve only ever exported to SWF. I don’t make AVIs anymore (Indeo who?) and when .dv files are needed, I’ve used Cleaner. Maybe I’ll try AE for those sometime.

Try searching the COW archives (advanced search) on “mosaic”.

Or do the same thing (search the archives) in the Broadcast Design forum, using “rate” or “salary” as a search term.

Did you do an advanced search in the Business & Marketing forum using “rate” as a search term?

    Yeah, that would be nice.

One workaround is to use an animator for the opacity of text to which a blur filter has already been applied … but it’s scarcely a replacement. 🙂

    Next version of AE, maybe.

Use composition>make movie. The vast majority of AE renders are done that way, through the render queue. File>export is for special cases.

For more details, check the help.

  • Yeah, but it’s only a flat colour up to the edges of the next colour. Antialiasing blends the two colours, creating a smooth edge.

You should have rendered with an alpha channel to get transparency. Render to a quicktime movie in the animation codec or to a series of TGA files, output module set to RGB+alpha, and millions of colours+.

Try hitting F2 to deselect all. Next, select the layer. You should just get the layer.

You need faster processors and more RAM. The graphics card has nothing to do with rendering speeds on AE.

You can’t output 96 ppi from AE. A pixel is a pixel as far as it’s concerned.

You can try doing a batch action on the tga sequence in Photoshop to save at the same frame size, but at 96 ppi, but I think your client is making one of those “I want to sound like I know what I’m doing” requests.

    My 2 cents,
