Trust me…They are really really good and make some projects that would take me a day and a half to complete..using these products.. takes me averagely 45 minutes.

Damn expensive as you have figured out…good thing i have business partners/friends with a little extra cash (laugh) couldn’t handle all these expense on my own. But trust me John they are definitely worth it if you own a studio…they pay for themselves in no time.

I tried investing in borisFX sometime ago,because of its many features and integration with Vegas….but had no ends of instability with it along with too many hiccups, that i just removed it from my workflow.Imagineer systems Motor, Monet and Mokey aren’t plugins for Vegas,
but they are standalone softwares that aren’t system intensive and
works easy,effective,precise and fast while providing consistent professional output. They are almost unbelievable.And for Particles….I rely soley on “particle Illusion” for generating realistic and creative particles.

Probably you can try a maintenance re-install and let me know if it fixes it…go to your following directory:
“C:/Program Files/Sony Setup/Vegas Pro 8.0”
and press vegas80_enu and follow the instructions to carry out this maintenance.Steve Rhoden

(1)…To create a fake widescreen effect, you can select the
widescreen format in the project properties…then use
the pan/crop tool and right click and select “match output
aspect”.(2)…For distortion you can use the ‘track motion’ and manipulate
as you wish.(3)…place the video you want as pip in the timeline on top..
then use the same track motion to reduce its image size
and place it where you want it on the video that is below.Steve Rhoden

Good points Theo.
You definitely need plugins for those task…can you imagine
motion tracking or rotoscoping say a 3 minute scene and have to be
adjusting each point in the mask, frame by frame….
That spells suicide right there.
And speaking of stabilization, “Mercalli by Prodad” is a life saver

The Taiyo Yuden watershield is the best..Preferebly the “minus” series for broader compatibility.

Yes, the Raylight HD codec is an excellent codec format to use.
Did you get confirmation from your client? Because she will
need to have at least the $95 raylight decoder installed
