Douglas is absolutely right, the drive you are rendering to is in
fat32 format….Well, formatting a hard drive cleans off everything
on it and makes it anew. Seems you are rendering to your one system drive. So have all your software, media and footages backed up on a few DVD’s. Then you simply reinstall windows and choose to format in
NTFS when prompted. Then when windows is installed and running, just
simply reinstall your applications. (seems as if you are serious about your editing, then formatting to NTFS is something you need to do).Steve Rhoden

Hello Matt,
Whenever i want to create some character or characters like something
that you described for a project….i first design or get a
picture (jpeg) of the character…then use “Crazy Talk” from
https://www.reallusion.com/crazytalk/ to animate and lip sync my character to my liking, then polish up everything in Vegas. Hope this help in giving you some ideas.Steve Rhoden

You really don’t need to worry about joining this video to add
filters to everything at the same time…you can just apply/drag your filters to the preview window and that will automatically apply your filters to everything you have on the timeline….(in another term, doing so is actually applying your effects to the ‘video bus track’).Steve Rhoden

You say you did a steady shoot of yourself….i assume one of
yourself on the left and another on the right.
Therefore have both clips on the timeline one above the other…
….then apply the cookie cutter tool to the upper clip and split the screen in half,then you will see what you need to do to get a
decent effect. Or you could use the mask tool to draw a close border around you on the upper clip and keyframe the mask with your movement.
(yourself in front a green or blue background would be much better to achieve what you want to achieve).Steve Rhoden

Your memory is not the problem.
(2 GB)…you are not low on memory. Seems as if some of the files
have been corrupted.
Restart your PC…Do a basic clean up then re-capture the HDV clips.

As with all major software upgraded release….It has a few bugs to
smooth out and issues to fine tune before its release to the public.
