What format are you exporting from Camtasia and trying to drop in vegas 10 ?

If you are using windows 7…You need an upgraded version
of DVD Architect.

Yes you can set it to capture split scenes or one whole capture
if you like…and it will never drop frames during capture.

But still puzzled why your Sony capture utility is fuzzing out.

Well you want a fresh start…You can simply go with Vegas 9 64 bit,
if you don’t have Vegas 10 64 bit as yet. And compliment that with
windows 7 64 bit, So that you can capitalize on more of your
installed ram(memory) and more speed.

I’d also encourage you to add Adobe After Effects to your Arsenal for
complex motion graphics and visual effects needs.

I never recommend partitioning..simply get another drive for whatever you need.

And good enough for one internal drive for Windows7 and Programs,and the other to render to.

Don’t sweat the BlueRay issue….you also have DVD Architect 5.2

Don’t use Norton Antivirus….I would recommend Mcafee or Avira.

Also, i dont use vegas to capture my dv footages….strictly
WinDV.

You need to got into “preferences” and under the video tab,
uncheck “use external video capture application”
And see what happens.

That’s right, Vegas 7 is not a fully compatible version for
Windows 7, That is why you are having the issues.
A newer version is what you need for windows 7 and using your
Vegas 7 serial will not work for Vegas 10, its not an update,
its a new version all together you have to purchase.
If you intend to continue using Vegas 7, then Windows XP is
what it needs to be running on.

You can try by holding down the ctrl key,
while you click on the tracks you want highlighted.
when done the tracks you want will be all selected.

Found this recommendation online…Try it:

1. Download the Windows Installer Cleanup utility.

2. Install it.

3. Launch it. Scroll down and select any “Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable” entries you see (should be only one).

4. Select it, and remove it using the utility.

5. Once it is gone, re-extract the vegas setup files through main vegas extracter, and let it automatically launch the setup when it is done. When it tells you to install Visual C++ press install, and it will do the rest. Then it will register the modules and everything will be ok.

Go the the program files in the system directory,
go in the sony folder and delete every folder or files
you see named sony vegas 10 etc. Clean up the pc and restart.
Now try and reinstall it.
