What happened is that when you applied that effect to the end of that clip, you actually had the other
clips selected on the timeline. That is how Vegas works, once you have several clips selected and drop
an effect or a transition on one clip, it’s automatically applied to all that’s selected.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

I agree with you Bruce, Magix need to drop the old Sony adage of secrecy regarding new features in upcoming
versions…..Times have changed, and given the new path Magix has carved for Vegas, they should discontinue
this concept…. And another Sony trap they should be carefull of not repeating is that of not marketing Vegas Pro enough!Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Simply have it set in “Preview-Full” and let it remain there, and make sure everything on the timeline matches
your project settings. Then when you render out with the same project settings you should be ok.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

The option is there to change it…..
Try going to Options- Preferences- Audio Device- and then in “Audio Device Type” try toggling with the selections.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

What is happening, Vegas is fighting to keep up with the decoding process of them, not
all MP3’s are the same…..
When you render out the project, does it plays back properly with both video and Audio?
If it does, Simply its as i mentioned above. So you can pre-convert them before you drop them
on the timeline to save yourself this hiccup.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)
