ok, i here you….Tell you what, wait on Vegas Pro 17, it is coming out next month.
I am personally awaiting this new release myself, because it is gonna come with a few new useful features

Green is an indication that a file is corrupted somewhat. But for it to be opening fine in Vegas 12 is telling
something else. Maybe its a situation by not having Vegas 14 as the default opener for .veg files, but the problem
is if that is done you wont be able to open them back up in Vegas 12.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Yes, this i am aware happens sometimes, so what you have to do is restart Vegas and then delete
the offending footage from the timeline and then re-apply from scratch, then”match output aspect”
first thing, then do your cropping and again “match output aspect” etc….
Hope that helps, its somewhat similar to what i have to do when this issue pops up.Also make sure you don’t have any hidden or unwanted keyframes in that “pan/crop” window, this is

Sorry, Vegas has nothing built in to create such a particular effect…

What i use for this kind of heat effect is “Hitfilm Ignite Heat Distortion” it’s fast and very realistic.

I think it’s stored in a temporary folder briefly until the render and uploading process is complete….
for example: C:\Users\computername\AppData\Local\TempSteve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Nothing i can think of at the moment, for all you have tried, you should not be having anymore issues at all!
