MP3 files stop playing in timeline SVP12
Posted by Rob Cioffi on July 10, 2019 at 1:36 pmI’m laying down a second sound effects audio track and very weirdly after I’ve added 4 or 5 mp3s to the track they stop playing. If I delete the track and start over it does the same thing or doesn’t play the first one I add.
Any ideas?

Hi Rob! Sounds like VP is choking on DECODING. Get MediaInfo and bring what it says here.

July 10, 2019 at 5:07 pmHi Rob,
Not to interfere with Graham’s request.
How about these options……
1. Record the sound effects in wav format instead of mp3.
2. If you are downloading the effects from a library, if they are available in wav, download and us that version.
3. Otherwise, convert the mp3’s to wav format.SVP12 should ingest wav easier than mp3 and if you have options 1 & 2 available, they will be better quality.
Best Regards……George

July 11, 2019 at 10:02 amWhat is happening, Vegas is fighting to keep up with the decoding process of them, not
all MP3’s are the same…..
When you render out the project, does it plays back properly with both video and Audio?
If it does, Simply its as i mentioned above. So you can pre-convert them before you drop them
on the timeline to save yourself this hiccup.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)
